CHRIST IN WINTER: Reflections on Faith & Life for the Years of Winter---AT THE END OF THE ROAD {M, 4-24-23}
I always saw
The oaks and maples
Devil fingers and
honeysuckle
Dusty sumac leaves
Wild dancing blackberry
canes
in the washed-out ditches
along the deep-rutted
tracks
of the narrow dirt roads
I walked in my youth
But I was always
more aware
of the faces
of the friends
who waited
at the end of the road

I've never seen that photo before! Love that.
