START AT THE END, a poem Sa, 9-9-17

Start at the end.

That’s what God told Jesus,

at the beginning.

Start with the rolled stone.

It will make the cross

lighter to carry.

All those disciples

who do not have ears

to hear,

and all those stupid

the Bible saysers,

and certainly all that Christmas

crap,

you don’t want to start

with that.

That’s what God told Jesus,

at the beginning.

Start at the end

if you want to understand,

if you want to live.

That’s what God told me.
