When two words get together
it’s because they want
to start a story
Unless the two words are “the”
and “end”
Then they make it possible
to start another story
John Robert McFarland
“Narrative is the DNA of the
universe.”
My note on this poem says I
wrote it on 6-29-09
I think it was Nina Morwell
who posted recently:
There was a young man from Ireland
who got limericks and haiku confused
That reminds me that when I was
at the Crumble Bakery and Coffee House Weds morning with my Crumble Bum
friends, the barista called out “Nutty Irishman.” I immediately yelled, “Here I
am.” I did not know there is a coffee drink by that name!
