BEYOND WINTER: The Irrelevant Musings of an Old Man—LIBRARY WINDOWS, a poem [6-18-24]
LIBRARY WINDOWS
I stand amazed
before the shelves
So many books
So many pages
So many authors
So many ideas
Around us
the dust motes dance
in slanted light
from unwashed windows
No need of washing here
In the library
the windows
are inside
the books
